For this exhibition, artists of various mediums were chosen as a “stool” or a “bowl” designer and paired up— connecting to discover similarities in their life, process, ethos. These synchronicities translated into their respective pieces, creating bowls and stools that not only connect with each other but as a whole when placed along a large table. The exhibition allowed the artists to turn inward and learn more about themselves, their process, their limitations, and reflecting the findings outwards.

Mycelium Bowl Process
Blob shapes drawn with india ink. When creating new art doesn’t come easily, simply drawing these shapes helps my mind go into flow state. When deciding on how the bowl’s form, I settled on the organic shapes of these drawings for what they symbolize for me and bringing my mind to a parasympathetic state.
